This Privacy Policy explains what data Linkity collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers two kinds of people: account holders who create and manage a Linkity page, and visitors who view a public page at linkity.app/username.
When you create and manage a Linkity account, we collect:
When someone visits a public page, we record activity so the page owner can see how their page is performing. This includes profile views and link clicks, along with the referring website, any UTM parameters in the URL, device and browser information, and an approximate location derived from the visitor's IP address. We do not use the IP address to determine a precise location.
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the service, keep account holders signed in, recognize returning visitors, and measure how public pages are used, such as attributing views and clicks accurately. We do not use these technologies for cross-site advertising. You can limit or clear cookies through your browser settings, although some parts of the service may not work as expected without them.
We aggregate visitor activity into analytics that page owners can view in their dashboard, such as total views, top links, referrers, and approximate visitor locations. Page owners can also review activity from individual anonymous visitors on their own page. Views by the page owner's own signed-in account are excluded from a page's tracking.
If a page has an AI assistant enabled, visitors can chat with it. Chat messages are stored so the conversation works and so the page owner can review conversations. To generate responses, messages are processed by third-party AI providers. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal information in a chat.
During a chat, a visitor may voluntarily share their name and email address. This information is shared with the page owner so they can follow up. Sharing these details is optional and up to the visitor.
Paid subscriptions are processed by Polar, which acts as the merchant of record. Your card details are provided directly to Polar, and Linkity never receives or stores full payment card information. We receive only the subscription status needed to provide your plan.
We rely on trusted third-party providers to run Linkity, including cloud hosting and file storage, payment processing, and AI services. These providers process data only as needed to deliver their part of the service.
We use the data we collect to operate and secure the service, to show public pages to visitors, to provide analytics to page owners, to power the AI assistant, to process subscriptions, and to communicate with account holders about their account. We do not sell your personal information.
We keep account and page data for as long as your account is active. Visitor activity and chat records are retained to provide analytics and conversation history to page owners. When data is no longer needed, or when you delete your account, we remove it, subject to copies retained as required by law or held briefly in routine backups.
You can delete your account at any time from your settings, which removes your data and takes your public page offline. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you.
